Hello
everyone! It’s a pleasure to be on Tears of Crimson today. Michelle was
gracious enough to invite me to tell you about my books and myself. So here
goes!
First off,
let me say that I love romance! I’ve read most of the romance sub-genres, with
my favorites being romantic suspense, paranormal romance, and historical
romance. I’d often dreamed of becoming a writer, but it wasn’t until I read my
first romantic suspense, Cherry Adair’s Kiss
and Tell, that I fell in love with the genre and decided that it was the
one for me. The intertwining of romance and danger, the heightened emotions,
the fast-paced action, and of course, the steamy sex, fascinated me. In 2006 I
began to take some writing classes, but it wasn’t until I came to the Pacific
Northwest and joined RWA that things took off.
In 2009 I
started writing Deadly Obsession, the
first in my Deadly Vices romantic suspense series. I did the usual round of conferences,
submissions to agents and editors, and entering contests. By mid-2011, the
world of publishing had drastically changed and I decided to self-publish my
stories. In January of 2012, I published Deadly
Obsession and in April, I published book two in the series, Deadly Addiction. I’ve also written
short stories for two anthologies: “Un-Valentine’s Day” (Hearts and Arrows) and “Guns ‘N’ Tulips” (The WG2E All-For-Indies Anthology: Spring Hop Edition).
I have some very exciting news as
well. My novella, “Aftershocks”, is coming out in two weeks as part of the Romance in the Rain Anthology put
together by the Seattle-based Rainy Day Writers group. This collection of six
novellas takes the reader on a journey from the pioneer days of Seattle through
the smoke-filled clouds of WWII and into the present, spanning four generations
of the strong-willed and passionate Caldwell family.
“Aftershocks” is the prequel to my new very
sexy rescue firefighter romance series. The first book in the series, Under His Command, is planned to be
released in time for the holiday season.
Here’s a small preview of my work
Deadly Obsession - Nic Lamoureux's perfect movie star
life is shattered by a stalker who threatens any woman close to him. When he
meets photographer Lauren James, the attraction is instant--and mutual. She's
exactly the sort of woman he craves, but the stalker makes deadly clear Lauren
is the competition. And the competition must be
eliminated.

Obsession is on sale for 99 cents on Amazon and B&N. Regular price $3.99

Reviews Top Pick - "Stock up on ice cubes because this is definitely one
sizzling debut. Readers will be hooked from the first sentence—on the book and
on Nic! As rich as a white chocolate cheesecake, Cayne's entrance into the
suspense genre is invigorating, explosive and simply intoxicating."

growing love for Alyssa. Will Rémi and Alyssa have to leave everything
behind—even their identities—for the chance at a future together?
“Un-Valentine’s
Day” - It’s Valentine’s Day, and Noah Jensen has a mad crush on Cassie Ames, a
woman who vehemently hates the holiday. Even worse, she doesn’t see him as
boyfriend material. Can Noah give Cassie a perfect day and move out of the
dreaded friend zone—and into her heart?
“Guns ‘N’
Tulips” - On this particular St. Patty’s Day, an ex-cop, once bribed by the mob,
must now beat them at their own game in order to earn back the life and love
he’d lost.
