Tears of Crimson Favorite Products of 2020

So let's be honest, 2020 has been an insane year, and we've all had to make some serious changes to keep our sanity.  I thought I'd talk about some of the things that have made my life a little easier this year, and hopefully help make the rest of your year better.  These are my favorite products, thoroughly vetted by yours truly.

If I had to list one item that tops my list of life-saving products for my household this year, it would be the bidet.  Hey, don't look at me that way!  The toilet paper shortage drove me nuts, especially since I have six people in my household that go through tons of the stuff.  On a whim, I picked up an inexpensive addition to the throne and it's by far the greatest purchase I've made for these crazy times.

Luxe Bidet Neo 185

I was able to install this myself, which should tell you how easy it was to do, because I'm not very handy when it comes to putting things together.  Now granted, you still want toilet paper to dry off your private parts, but in a pinch you could use it without and it does a great job of keeping things clean.  Even without the toilet paper shortage, I honestly couldn't imagine not having this now.  It's become my favorite part of the bathroom.

5 Pack Reusable Cotton Fabric Masks

No matter where you stand on the mask wearing, the fact is we had to have them to shop, so coming in at number two of my sanity saving list were these washable masks.  I didn't like the idea of buying one-time use masks because with my family we'd be investing our life-savings in them.  Obviously, not literally, but it made no sense to me to keep buying the same product when I could throw these in the wash and save myself a few dollars.  My kids went back to school this year, so they worked great for this purpose as well.   I bought two packs of them, and each pack was around $10.

K-Compact Single-Serve K-Cup

So what happened the first day we went into lock-down in my state?  My $300 coffee maker decided it was done working and left me in a state of panic.  Me without my coffee is a sight no one wanted to see and I picked up this little life saver thinking it would get me by for a while.  I ended up liking it more than my fancy coffee maker, and we've now become best friends!  I was pretty dang skeptical about drinking pod coffee, since I loved grinding my own beans for the freshest cup of coffee.  Maybe I'm not the coffee snob I once was, because I've come to like the K-cups more.  I think we were all worried about cash flow when this all begin, which is why I picked this up for less than $70.  I have to admit that buying coffee pods from https://www.higgybean.com/ probably has a lot to do with why I now love coffee pods.  If you haven't tried them out, I strongly suggest you do so.

GooDee 2020 HD Video Projector Outdoor Movie Projector

Let's be honest, having kids at home with no way to entertain them is a living nightmare.  One of the ways we were able to combat this was by having an outdoor home theater movie night.  We set ours  up on our pool deck and swam while we enjoyed a great movie.  One of the things we really missed about the lock down was going to the movies, and this little sanity saver gave us a fun way to go back to the movies without ever leaving our home.  There's something really fun about watching movies outside and the snacks are much cheaper at my house as well.

Indoor and Outdoor Inflatable Blow up Projector Screen

We loved the outdoor blow up screen because it was easy to store when we were done watching.  It takes less than ten minutes to set-up and came with a electric pump to inflate it.  This worked really well for our poolside cinema and I look forward to many more years enjoying movies this way.  For a family of six this really is the least expensive way to entertain our large crew.

These are my life-saving sanity products that simply made my life easier.  I hope some of these things will give you new ideas on how to have a great time with your friends and family.  Let me know if you decide to try any of them.  If you have some tips that worked for you, share as well.  I hope the rest of your year is a little brighter, and thanks for supporting Tears.  We're all in this together!
