Taking a bite out of... Vicky Crew Fuller

Author Vicky Crew Fuller

So today we're sitting down with Author Vicky Crew Fuller who has released her book, "They Come When You're Alone".  Paranormal enthusiasts are going to enjoy this walk into a realistic haunting.  Fuller brings to life her experiences over the years with paranormal entities that will leave you feeling chills.

TOC:  Thanks so much for joining us at Tears of Crimson, Vicky.  I know our readers would love to discover more about you and your new book.  When you talk about paranormal entities visiting you, what do you consider them to be?

VCF:  I have given this alot of thought.  I think I have been visited by 3 kinds of beings.  When I was little, living in my grandmother's house, it was definitely dark and evil entities.

As a young adult, I saw in my dreams...alien beings that I interacted with on a nightly basis.  Then I asked to see with my own eyes....and was revealed to me in a lucid dream an angel of light or a spirit of light.  I do not know exactly who they are.  But it feels like I know them.

TOC:  You say that you were forced to grow up in a haunted house.  Tell us a little more about this experience and the impact it had on you.

VCF:  My Mom and Dad had gotten a divorce, and Mom moved all of us into her Mother's house (my Granny).  I felt uncomfortable at the beginning.  I was 8 years old.  I kept hearing people walking around at night.  I heard clapping sounds...thousands of people clapping.  I could hear a rocking chair creaking back and forth.  I told people what I felt and what I heard but they just laughed at me.

TOC:  How does it make you feel when people try to discount your experiences?

VCF:  For some reason, it doesn't make me feel bad at all.  I know what I felt and what I saw.  It doesn't matter what they think.  There are always people out there who do know what I am talking about because they have the same experiences.

TOC:  Why do you think that these entities choose to visit certain people, and not others?

VCF:  I think they visit everyone.  Just certain people know they are there.

TOC:  Do you think that most of your experiences stem from growing up in the haunted location?

VCF:  No.  I think I am extremely sensitive and I can feel them where ever they may be living.  I will never forget one time visiting a friend of mine in her new apartment.  This was in Atlanta and these apartments were very old.  I immediately felt sick to my stomach....made a mental note that I would NEVER  have a girls night out at this place.   I felt a heaviness.  Someone was watching me.  Later on I found out from her that when she was exploring the atic area for the building.....she was up there and a hideous growling sound came at her.  She got out of there as fast as she could.  She told the other tenants this story during a barbeque.  They told her: "Oh so you've met the little people that live here."  She asked them what they were talking about.  They in flat terms told her that a group of "little people"  lived within the walls of the building and come out at night.  They don't like people coming into the attic.
Well, I already knew crap was going on in that building.  And today, if I ever drive by it...I feel it long before I see it.

TOC:  Did these haunting's affect other members of your family or did it single you out?

VCF:  Well, as a matter of fact, it also affected my cousin and Aunt who lived there after we moved out.  My cousin Michelle Hughes saw a little girl standing at the foot of the bed....she had no mouth.

TOC:  How often are you visited by this beings today?

VCF:  I am not visited by them any more.  I found out that all you have to do is tell them...NO MORE.....and they will stop.  It's like somewhere in the past, you had invited them in.

TOC:  Has anything positive come out of the experiences you've had?

VCF:  Yes.......the last lady that came to see me was a very positive one.
However, I was so frightened by it, I just said "no more".
It's been years now,   but I have recently decided, I want to see her again.

TOC:  So tell us a little more about your background in entertainment.  We've heard that you use to be a puppeteer?

VCF:  Yes, I love puppets.   My acting teacher in college was friends with a lady who ran a local T.V. kids show on the NBC affiliate.  She needed help from students for the production of the show.  So I became a weekly guest on Young World.   I did my little puppet "Artie Bear".  We filmed on Monday and the show came on each Saturday and Sunday afternoon.  I will never forget it when my puppet got to sing "Mother of Mine"  to my Mom on Mother's Day.  She saw it air on Mother's Day Sunday.

TOC:  Where can people go to find out more about you and your work?

VCF:  They can visit my Blog, Facebook page, and also watch a video image of my book on Youtube.  Find the book on Amazon. aware that you will feel and relive with me....all.

It's hunter versus hunted.

Praise for Sleeping Roses:
"It's strange, mysterious, and down right cool! It made me wonder if this really happened." Jek Jamison

"A suspense/thriller where nothing is as it seems." Heartsong Reviews

"From the first page to the last I was captivated by Sophie's journey as told by Ms Workman. Well crafted twists and turns kept me completely enthralled and unwilling to put it down. I found myself empathizing with the characters I closely identified with and feeling compassion, as Sophie did, for those less likable. The author's ability to express the feelings and emotions of the characters transcended the words on the pages." D. Olson

If you think you know how it ends, hold on. You have no idea.

Taking a bite out of... Author Sean Hayden

We managed to stalk Sean Hayden and pull him into the Tears of Crimson Crypt for a discussion. He really was a great bite, um I mean we enjoyed interviewing him. Pull up a bar stool and come discover this incredible author!

TOC: Paranormal books have flooded the market these last few years. What makes your book unique and why should readers buy it?

Sean:   It's hard to tell someone your book is unique and they should buy it when you write about vampires. It's hard to say, "I came um with a totally new spin on a story that's been told ten thousand times!" It was that problem that gave me the solution. My daughter, 10, became as addicted to vampires as I was.

Watching all the different shows and reading all the different books caused her to ask questions I didn't have the answers to. "Can these vampires be killed with wood? How do these vampires make other vampires? Does silver hurt these vampires?" Then came the fateful question no vampire-loving parent EVER wants to hear..."Do these vampires sparkle?" It became sort of a game, but gave birth to the concept of ORIGINS. Why not combine all the different myths and legends into one story? Why not make the world FULL of vampires with different abilities and weaknesses? But, how do I tie them all together? I ended up with a'll have to read the book to find out how!

TOC: Tell us about how you came up with characters for your book.

Sean: I don't come up with characters, they write themselves. It's kind of weird. I pick an actor whom I feel would do a good job starring in that role and I write the characters around them. That solves the physical aspect and gives them a "voice" in my head. Their personalities just come on their own. Most of them are a mashup of me and the other people in my life. It works out good.

TOC: When it comes to the paranormal, in your opinion is it just fiction or could some of these things be real? If it could be real which would you believe more possible?

Sean: There are more things under heaven and earth... I tend to treat the paranormal like I do religion. I'm not an expert. I don't deny the possibility. But I sure would like to see it before I believe it.

TOC: What is the one thing readers would be surprised to find out about you?

Sean: Hmmmmmmm. I only started writing about two and a half years ago?

TOC: How do you think the general population would deal with things if it were proven that supernatural creatures do indeed exist?

Sean: Mass panic with a tendency to destroy. Sad but true. Humans react quite predictably when it comes to the unknown. If i were an alien I'd stay pretty far away from this planet.

TOC: Who is your biggest supporter, and what would you like to say to them?

Sean: I have three. My kids are my biggest fans and completely proud that their father is an author. The other is my partner in everything, Jen Wylie. I wouldn't have made it an iota in this business without her. She pushes me, she drives me, she consoles me, she cheers for me, and she makes me the luckiest guy on the planet. To all of them I say thank you and i love you more than life.

TOC: If you could live out one fantasy from any book in the world, which one would it be and why?

Sean:   Dragonriders of Pern. Sure, fighting thread can be dangerous, but what a kick-ass way to spend your day.

TOC: Who is the one author that inspired you above all others and why?

Sean: Anne McCaffrey made me fall in love with reading and writing, but Mercedes Lackey taught me about elves and vampires!

TOC: Where can we come stalk you... I mean where can the readers find out more about you and your books?

Sean: Oh, I'm around just about everywhere. My website, my personal facebook (feel free to send me a friend request, I'm not shy), my author facebook, twitter, and my personal blog!

Free Today on Kindle - Gabriel's Diary (Erotica)

So you can imagine what I'm having to put up with to offer Gabriel's Diary free today.  I swear if there's one thing Gabe has it's an ego.  This is the first Tears of Crimson Novella, and of course Gabe had to have his done first, he would have it no other way.  This is the diary of his sexual adventures, so a quick warning.  If you are offended by strong sexual content, this may not be the book for you.  I have to admit even I discovered a thing or two about our Gabe and might need to have my brain bleached later on.  Apparently his need for control goes a little deeper than we knew.

With Gabriel's Diary, he gives you some insight over the last 2,000 years about what turned him into the Vampire he is today.  If you love Vampires and Erotica, this is definitely a novella for you!  Please help me out by getting this one on promo today, you have no idea what I have to put up with when Gabriel is unhappy!

Season Five True Blood - Everything's at Stake

If you've spent any time at Tears of Crimson, you know that we are huge True Blood fans.  We're doing our part to get ready for Sunday's Premiere of season five and hope you'll join us!  Season four brought out all our fantasies with the much anticipated heated scene from Sookie and Eric, and we at Tears of Crimson would have loved to be the moon that night.  We lost the gorgeous Jesus, cheered when Marnie finally got her due, cried when our beloved Tara was on the edge of death, said about time when Alcide finally sent off Debbie, and so many more fascinating plots and turns. In True Blood style, we were all left waiting with borderline obsessive tendencies to see how it would all play out!

Season 5 - Trailer #1

It would take more than the end of the world to pull us away from our sets on June 10th.  The Authority comes to life and heads are going to roll.  The question is, who will be left standing when Everything's at Stake.  Tears of Crimson bows down to the supreme authority of True Blood next Sunday night and we encourage all our friends to join us on Twitter as we join the conversation with hashtag #TrueBlood.

We don't like our friends to suffer, well much, so while you're waiting take this Quiz and prepare yourself for the hottest season of True Blood ever.  We know this can't take all the edge off of the anticipation, but maybe it will make waiting a little less unbearable!

What are other people saying about Counterfeit Kisses

Creative Twists, March 23, 2012

By ReadyReader -

This story was a fun ride with plenty of twists and turns along the way! And I'm pleased that several of them took me completely by surprise. :) Spunky heroine and reluctantly tenderhearted hero thrown together in a fake marriage, both with plenty of past pain and secrets of their own and both seeking revenge against the same man (without the other knowing). How could you start a story better than that?! And it only gets better from there. Also appreciated that it was clean romance.

Good Old Fashioned Romance

By J.M. Hurley -

There are times when you just want to curl up on the sofa with a nice romance that offers just a bit more than the standard boy meets girl fare. I loved The Counterfeit maybe because it gelled two themes I really like - westerns and a little bit of mystery thriller. This book has a really nice romantic plot, but going on behind the plot is the reality of tough living in the good ol' days of survival way out west. Also blended is a sub plot where the romantic lead is also a government agent trying to infiltrate and bring down a criminal gang. The strands come together really well, a romance between two very likeable characters and plenty of twists and turns in the sub plot so that right up to the end you're wondering who's for real and who can be trusted. This is a fun read with just the right mix of romance and intrigue. It would also be a great movie.

Back to the Olden Days

By Malika Bourne -

The moment I began the first page I felt like I had almost been hit by two horses and a wagon. I was judgmental about the raven haired man Megan ran over with her team of horses.

It was refreshing to read about a familiar era that I had read about in my youth. Petticoat, corsette wearing ladies and gun slinging gentlmen and creeps. But what really held my interest was who was the guy in the white hat or was it the black hat? I had no idea for certain.

I loved the little romantic gestures from the male interest. But was fearful of Megan making the wrong decsions about avenging her father's death in this whole mess of western set story.

I loved it. It was easy to read on my Kindle while I exscpaed riding throuhg Nebraska with my thoughts while riding the old grey hound bus, (could have been a stage coach.)

Tempted To Sin - Friday Indulgence

Friday is my favorite day of the week and since it's also the beginning of my favorite month I thought I'd attempt to tempt your senses with some incredibly sinful books.  The only thing these books have in common is the sexy factor.  So if you're ready to start off your Tempted to Sin Friday, read on and let the temptation begin.

The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty

This was one of the first erotica books I read and it led me on a sensual journey that pushed me beyond everything I thought was acceptable in a romance.  That being said I secretly found it delicious and had to purchase the other two books in this series.  It's a tempting delight and sure to leave you gasping even 13 years later. This book is available on Kindle and paperback.

In the traditional folktale of "Sleeping Beauty," the spell cast upon the lovely young princess and everyone in her castle can only be broken by the kiss of a Prince. It is an ancient story, one that originally emerged from and still deeply disturbs the mind's unconscious. Now Anne Rice, writing as A.N. Roquelaure, retells the Beauty story and probes the unspoken implications of this lush, suggestive tale by exploring its undeniable connection to sexual desire. Here the Prince awakens Beauty, not with a kiss, but with sexual initiation. His reward for ending the hundred years of enchantment is Beauty's complete and total enslavement to him . . . as Anne Rice explores the world of erotic yearning and fantasy in a classic that becomes, with her skillful pen, a compelling experience. Readers of Fifty Shades of Grey will indulge in Rice’s deft storytelling and imaginative eroticism, a sure-to-be classic for years to come.

Slave to Love

I discovered this little gem during the last Free ParTay and fell into delightful bliss after reading it.  This sexy little book will tempt you with a contemporary twist of passion that shows that passion is still alive.  I highly recommend this hot read.

Special Investigations Section Officer Caroline Palmer is not into whips and chains... That is, not until Homicide Detective Michael 'Mick' McGraw--better known as The Iceman--leads her undercover into a secret world she never dreamed existed. He says they are tracking a sexual predator, a sadistic killer who preys on adventurous suburban couples. But Caroline knows Mick is looking for something else. Something much more dangerous...

This book was truly one of those marvels I just happened to run up upon.  As of today this little sexy gem is still free, for the life of me I can't figure out why because it really is a wonderful book.  Whatever vampire gods are smiling down on you, enjoy it while you can.  I'm assuming the author plans on making money off this sooner or later?  The sex was hot, the vampires hotter and I just fell in love with this tempting tale.

Live bait makes all the difference.  Sent on a mission to lure Budapest’s vampire Overlord into a trap, Connie Bence is instead caught red-handed by the dark Casanova.  Her employer has concrete proof of the dubious leader’s misdeeds but she is surprised when this ruthless killer, Rurik, offers her protection and rescues her from his own kind. It plants seeds of doubt in her mind and she begins to question his guilt.

Now she is thrown into his world where blackmail determines her every move and where she must betray those she cares about or let them die. The stakes are high. She either puts her trust in Rurik or leads him to his execution. Love or life.

Fifty Shades of Grey

If you are one of the few handfuls of people in the world that haven't read this book yet, then please take my advice and discover it.  This book has some incredible and horrible reviews and honestly I could never figure out the bad ones.  This book tantalized me from the beginning and I read it from front to cover as fast as I possibly could because I had to know what would happen next.  Hot, steamy, and edgy this sexy read had all the things I loved.  Sorry to all the haters of this book, this one just really stroked my fur so to speak and I think it's one of the sexiest books out there.

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY: When college student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating.  The unworldly Ana realizes she wants this man, and Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian’s secrets and explores her own desires.
