Georgia's Stonehenge?

When someone builds a Stonehenge in Georgia, it opens up doors for a conspiracy, and we at Tears of Crimson love a great conspiracy!  Add a little mystery into the mix, and that just makes it even more interesting.  Apparently the builder of this creation wanted to remain anonymous.  For the record this wasn't just built, the creation is dated to June 1979, but our researchers just heard about it, sorry about the delay!

The Guide Stones are built from Granite and weigh in at a little over 276,000 pounds.  There is a "10 Commandments" or sorts written in English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese and Russian.  Whoever wanted to share their message definitely wanted to make sure that someone could interpret it.  The Ten Rules found on the Guide Stones are as follows:

  • Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
  • Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
  • Unite humanity with a living new language.
  • Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
  • Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
  • Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
  • Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
  • Balance personal rights with social duties.
  • Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
  • Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.

  • According to Wikipedia there was a time capsule buried beneath the monument but the place where the "to be opened date" should be is not filled in and the capsule is missing.  This could mean that the capsule was never really there (which seems likely in our opinion) . You can read more about that time capsule on Wikipedia.  Until Wikipedia, we hadn't heard of the time capsule, so we can't verify that information or the tablet explaining that it's supposed to be there.  If any friends of Crimson live in Georgia, we'd be appreciate of the information.

Other interesting features on the Guide Stones include a channel through the granite that indicate the celestial pole.  A horizontal slot that indicates the annual travel of the sun.  A place where the sunbeam indicates noon all during the year.  A small circle that acts a compass, and four ancient languages:  Babylonian (in cuneiform script), Classical Greek, Sanskrit and Ancient Egyptian (in hieroglyphics).  All courtesy again of Wikipedia.

What's really interesting to us at Tears of Crimson is the location of these Stones.  Why in a remote area of Georgia?  One of our researchers was a big Edgar Cayce fan, and it is interesting to note that this location was one of the few that would still be intact if world changes occurred the way he outlined them.  If you want to check these out for yourself the physical address is Guidestone Rd NW, GA 30634 which is in Elbert County.  They sit on top of one of the highest mountains in Georgia, which I'm assuming was done to protect them from a potential devastating flood.

Another odd little factor is the pseudonym of the man that had them erected, R.C. Christian.  This coincides with a religious group called Rosicrucianism, who people compare somewhat with the Free Masons.  Depending on who you ask both of these groups are shrouded in mystery and have dark plans for the world.  Since our owners grandfather was a Mason, she considers that offensive, we'll  let someone else dare to make that judgement.

Whatever you make of these Guide Stones, you have to admit it's a mystery that begs to be uncovered.  We'd love to hear your thoughts on this subject, and if you've actually visited the site, please let us know what your theories are.  There's definitely a story waiting to be told here!

    Tears of Crimson Notice

Sorry to put a lock down on the comments, but we at Tears of Crimson have been getting many comments that have nothing to do with the posts and are for advertising.  We love to hear from our readers, and if you'd like to advertise something on Tears of Crimson we encourage you to email us.  That being said all comments for this site can now only come from registered users.  We're hoping this stops the spam issue, and this site can continue on hearing from our friends of Crimson.

In other news, we've been undergoing some issues that have severely delayed our timeline for new releases, but hopefully these problems have been resolved and we can get back on track again.  Three works in progress are still on track to be released in 2013:  Angela's Salvation, the third 10 Nights book, and the final Tears of Crimson novel.  I'm sure many of you have noticed our disappearance from social media in the last few weeks, and we'd like to apologize for that as well.  We're trying to get things back to normal around the Tears of Crimson Mansion, and hopefully you'll be hearing a lot more from us.

As always, we welcome authors, musicians, and other entertainment venues to guest post on Tears of Crimson.  We want to share your work with our friends.  To be considered for a guest post, simply send us an email with your article and photos (if applicable) of the message you want to share.  If you are looking for a book review, please note that The Books Debut is now under different management and you can visit their site for reviews.  Their address is www.thebooksdebut.com and we're very proud to support such a wonderful group of reviewers.

Rafe, Gabe, and Cara, all asked us to say thank you for all your support over the last few years.  They are all taking a much needed vacation and if you've kept up with the Tears of Crimson Vampire Saga, you'll understand things have been pretty chaotic in New Orleans.  Don't worry, they'll all be back soon they just needed to rest after all the insanity.

Leah, Rhett, and Alex have their own issues right now, but they also asked us to pass on their thanks. We don't know about you, but we're glad our lives aren't filled with all that drama!  Between the vampire takeover Armageddon, and the craziness of the 10 Nights Love triangle, it's been a little overwhelming for all of us to keep up around this place.

We've been contemplating writing a survival manual for the zombie apocalypse.  We figure at this point the world has just gone to hell and we might need to start preparing ourselves for all possible scenarios.  Lately everything out there has been so doom and gloom, it might just be time to start considering our options in the event of catastrophe.  We'll wait to hear your feedback on this issue before we delve in any deeper to that thought process.

The creator of Tears of Crimson has said she's been watching too many sci-fi shows lately and the paranoia might just be getting to her.  Between alien invasion, nuclear attacks on the US, Zombie viruses, oh and we can't forget the new ISON comet end of time scenario, maybe creating an end of the world survival guide for all scenarios might be in order.  If all else fails we can just get the vamps to turn us, they can survive all that right?  There was another contemplation that werewolves were responsible for bonding humans to them so they could take over the world, can't leave that one out of the mix!  At this rate we figure the human race doesn't have that much of a survival rate!

All kidding aside, it's been an insane beginning of 2013 and we're really trying to keep up with all the overwhelming events taking place.  We promise we still have what little sanity we began with, it's just growing a little frayed at the edges.  A nice note every once in a while helps to keep us with what little brains we haven't given up for the sake of entertainment, so don't forget about us here at the Tears of Crimson Mansion.  We'll be climbing out of the dungeon, or was that fallout shelter?  Mrs. Hughes, doesn't let  us out very often, so your words of encouragement sure do help while we're locked in here with nothing but time on our hands!

    Truly,
    The Tears of Crimson Staff

    2013 Armageddon ... ISON!

It's official, the Mayan's were actually just lazy and stopped writing their calendar but this new Armageddon, at least it's got some interesting concepts.  So just what are we babbling about?  Ison of course, as in I - Son, you know the father of the big dude in the sky, the one who's been scheduled to come back for over 2,000 years.  Okay NOT that son, but the Comet ISON which is set to give us a nice show.  The best time to see this big guy is supposedly around November 28th, so we can all give thanks right?  Personally we were thankfully enough to see Russia get hit and not us here from the last fallen sky thing, and could be happy not hearing about anything else in the sky for a while.  No offense to anyone that's Russian, we just didn't want to deal with the headache.

So a comet named ISON is going to be visible, what's the big deal?  Well personally we're just waiting on the next doom and gloomer to show up and tell us the world will yet end again.  Just for the record we're still alive after the last crack pot theory!  Oh and the world didn't end on New Years Eve 1999 either, just in case you weren't clear on that fact.  So either this comet is going to signal the end of the world or E.T. is waiting in it's tail and we thought we'd jump on the story first!

Just wait for it, it's coming!  How could a comet come this close to earth and have the name of ISON without destroying us all?  We say all this in jest, but comets, and asteroids really do scare us more than any third war or the idiocy of Washington, mainly because you can't impeach an asteroid, or nuke one to make it go away!  Head on over to NASA to find out more about ISON (I-Son as in I-Robot).  Just keep looking up old chaps, sooner or later something will blow us out of the galaxy!  For all you doom and gloomers, here's your next Armageddon theory!

    I Like Virgins! Sue Me!

There's something very exciting about writing a characters first romantic experience.  I've tried to pinpoint why I'm so fascinated with the innocence of a heroine in a book, and have completely given up.  I like to write about it, read about it, and have gotten to the point if that's not included in the book I don't want to give it a chance.

Some of you might remember a song called Strawberry Wine?  I fell in love with that song for one reason, and maybe it goes along with my love of a great virgin/alpha male romance.  The reminiscing about a time in life when love was new and so were the emotions that stunned your heart and mind.  For myself, there was nothing more memorable than my first love and that journey into the world of the unknown desires.  Granted my first lover and I parted ways many many years ago, and that's a time in my life that was meant to come to an end, but the thoughts of what it felt like to have that nervous anticipation have never left my memories.

Years went by and making love lost the innocence, but by writing out the scenarios in new books, I allow myself to capture those feelings again.  It's the same for me when I read another persons journey into the world of desire.  In the end maybe we all want to keep a small part of our youth and for me reading about virgins allows me that walk down memory lane.

Why on earth would I decide to write about this today?  I just read a review on one of books, where the reviewer asked what on earth has happened to erotic books, and why do they all seem to have virgins lately.  I thought instead of writing the reviewer I'd answer in a blog post.  Everyone has a different fantasy that makes them want to delve into certain books.  Obviously mine is noted here, and I find I have a very hard time writing about heroines that aren't innocent.  The only exception to that rule is if the female was abused in the past, then in my mind her first time would be with the person she chose even if she no longer had the label of virginity.

I like Virgins, so sue me!  But seriously, if you're looking for something different, you probably won't find them in my writings unless they are part of a sequel.  I've been asked before to write a book with a co-author but turned it down.  I like innocence, it appeals to me, therefore I write what I love.

    The Zombies are Coming!

The Zombies are Coming, and I'm not talking about the ones from the hit show The Walking Dead!  Back in 1953 (yes I'm aware that's longer than most of us have been alive) there was a project called MKUltra, a research used by the CIA.  It was focused on mind control and apparently ended in 1973.

That should have been the end of story, except in 2010 one of the soldiers, who subsequently was a medic, returned from wars in Iraq and Afghanistan reported that there were Zombies in the field.  And while the CDC still states this was just a way to get people interested in preparing for "real possible disasters" you can't leave out their official Zombie Apocalypse blog post:  Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse

If you think about the possibilities of using Biological Warfare, Zombies don't sound that incredulous.  What would be the easiest way to take over a country?  Add something to the one thing no human can live without, water.  Contaminating a water source would, in my opinion, be the fastest way to renders people helpless.  I know it all sounds so doom and gloom, but I'm going to agree with the CDC on one thing here, it's always better to be prepared.

For you science researchers out there you can add the Zombie Cell to your knowledge.  Called Sandia's Cellular Statuettes in Sillica    of course from what my mind can deduce from this is little to do with Zombies and more to do with creating weapons that live.  In either case I'd have my shotguns ready!  Since I live in Alabama I'm sure we'll outlive everyone else *grins*  I mean what home in Alabama doesn't have a gun cabinet full of shotguns with ammo?

Just remember to double tap!  While I love to joke about the Zombie Apocalypse, honestly the thought of some insane country using it to start a war wouldn't actually surprise me much. Since we live in the country, and obviously have a lot of free time on our hands, we've actually discussed what we'd do in the event of bio-terrorism event or invasion.  For the most part it's a long standing running joke around here, but if it were ever to become real, we have a plan.  Obviously we support the NRA, since we can't defend ourselves without guns.

So what to do in the event of a Zombie Apocalypse?  First get out of any large metropolitan area.  Obviously where there is a greater population, there will be more Zombies!  Find a location that has well water not tapped into the city water line, since you don't know if the water is contaminated!  Make sure you have shotguns and ammo, pretty self-explanatory!  Get a group of trusted friends and stick together, friends that are good shots are obviously the best choices!  Remember your basic needs: Food, Shelter, Water, and medical supplies.  Who says you can't learn from television shows?

I'm not suggesting that a Zombie Apocalypse is imminent, but it never hurts to be prepared.  Get your Zombie plan down and then you can rest easy.  By the way there's plenty of land for sale in the country, LOL!

Asteroid Hits Russia - Sign of Things to Come?

Call me a conspiracy theory junky, but does anyone else feel there's something else besides just an asteroid going on here?  Religious fanatics could take look to the stars literally in this case.  I was once obsessed with end time scenarios, and remember reading somewhere in the bible that you should look to the stars to find answers.  I never really knew what that meant until recently.  But I have to wonder if we should actually be looking at the sky and it's just not another cryptic message.

As a logical person, I know that even if things were going on in our world, the general public wouldn't be advised of them.  So when I'm told that a certain event happened by the media, I always try to look behind what they want us to believe and somewhere embedded is the truth.  Mass panic obviously wouldn't be good for any society.  So do I think the world is coming to an end?  No, but if it were I'd like to think I'd have the ability to see through any lies they might tell us.

Maybe I've been watching too much Fringe lately, because I could definitely see our government covering up the truth for the average Joe public.  Personally I'm going to continue to look out for strange events, until I make my own observations of the truth, I'd advise you to do the same.  I'll be honest I don't normally discuss politics on this blog, but I have very little faith in our current administration.  That's all I'll say about my feelings on that subject.

So the asteroid in Russia, could be just a coincidence, but for my own ease of mind, I'm going to really pay attention.  What puzzles me is why the scientists in Russia didn't have more advanced knowledge that this event could happen.  Obviously I'm not a scientist, but if that was my career choice, I'd like to think I'd know the possibilities of an event like this happening before hand.  Just my two cents on that matter.  Of course I felt the same way about 9/11 and still don't understand how with all our Intel we didn't have a clue that was going to happen.  Yep that's the conspiracy theorist in me coming out again!  Don't even get me started about the landing on the moon.

Have you read of any "weird science" or have ideas about things that just don't seem to fit the mold the press or government tries to fit a scenario into?  I'd love to hear about it.  Knowledge is power, and sharing knowledge is how we grow, so give me your opinions.

    Weird Science

Last month I ran across this show on Amazon Prime called Fringe, which I discovered has been on for years, but it was new to me.  If you want to find out more about the show you can follow the link above. What this show did, was give me a new interest in Science, of the weird variation that is.

Conspiracy theorists will love the idea of Fringe Science, it gives a whole new meaning to cover up.  I'm not sure how long this will hold my interest, but as long as it does I'll share the quirky little facts I ran across that stand out to me.

After watching three seasons of the show, I started researching online strange scientific discoveries, and was amazed to find out that out of the ordinary things happen all the time.  For someone who is rarely interested in Science Fiction, it's been an eye-opening experience.  For my romance reader fans, don't worry, I'm not about to start writing under that genre unless it has an explosive love story behind it!

Something that caught my eye while I was researching this week was the six sense being developed in lab rats.  From my limited science background, I could only understand that scientists were able to allow these lab rats to sense infrared light.   Supposedly, again from the article which someone with more knowledge can research here, these rats are supposed to be able to see infrared light.  While that in itself doesn't seem like a big deal to me, the possibilities that it proposes could be really incredible.

If we can make a lab rat see things outside of their normal perception  why couldn't we take it a step further and alter the human ability to see things not normal for us as well.  If you're anything like me, the possibility of there being other worlds, or even a parallel of our own world which could include spirits, would be accessible.  The human brain is a fascinating thing, and since it's suggested we only use a fragment of the total of our mind, what incredible possibilities await us when it's discovered how to tune in to those other parts, or alter the ones we already use to a heightened state?

Have I lost you yet?  I don't profess to be an above average intelligent person, but I do tend to be fascinated with the possibilities that all humans can go above their potential.  Things like ESP, astral travel, conversing with the spirit world, and telekinesis have never seemed out of the ordinary for me.  In fact as a young teenager I was convinced with the right mind training I could do these things.  Needless to say I never honed the skills necessary, but I still believe they are easily possible if a person is willing to focus on them.  I'm getting off track here, but let me just say a few more things regarding those possibilities on my behalf.  Focus has never been my strong suite.  My mind is normally going in ten different directions at one time, but with the right ability to concentrate, I sincerely believe it's not only possible, but probably all those things I mentioned above are accessible.

The lab rats give us a small insight into what is possible if we step outside the norm and focus on the potential of the brain.  If you'd like to research on your own check out Strange News or type in Fringe Science Discoveries into your browser.  Just a quick warning, it's easy to become addicted to all the research.

    Let's Make Love

With today's hectic schedules, sometimes couples forget to take time to nurture the one person who makes life a little brighter, their partner! What better way to show your partner how desirable they are than by worshiping their bodies?  Today at Tears of Crimson, we'd like to talk a little about erogenous zones, and how to bring your partner the ultimate pleasure in the bedroom.

Take notes, there will be a test later! (Okay there won't be a test, but we would like to hear back from you about how you put this to work, and your partners reaction.)  There are the obvious places on the male and female body that give pleasure, and we're going to hope you've already figured those out.  If not, well there's very little we can do to help except encourage you to get a better feel for human anatomy, pun intended!

A place often forgotten by both sexes, is behind the knees.  Massaging, or kissing in this delicate area, while sometimes ticklish, creates a incredible sensation that should never be overlooked.  The abs and the belly button are also wonderful places to lightly caress and stimulate that often get over looked and should instead be a focus.  Try a light scented oil or lotion and let your hands explore to discover how well your partner reacts to the sensation.

The feet are filled with pressure points and who doesn't love a great foot massage.  The trick behind the sensation is to find just the right amount of pressure, so it doesn't become a tickle fest and instead leaves your partner moaning in pleasure.  Light touches and kisses on the neck and ears are also wonderful ways to show your significant other just how much their pleasure means to you.  Don't forget the scalp! Most ladies can tell you that when their stylist washes their hair it's an incredibly relaxing feeling.  You can take that same sensation out of the salon and make it happen without water and shampoo with a tender massage here.

All of these areas can cause incredible sensations, but the one most overlooked is the mind.  Nothing is sexier than having a lover whisper in your ear, with a little nibble to the earlobe, about how sexy they find you.  Gentlemen, a word to the wise here, sexy not vulgar is the key here.  Ladies, most men actually enjoy having you talk dirty to them.  Stimulate the mind, and the body usually climbs on board!

While great pleasure can be found in stimulating the known areas of pleasure of the human body, the above places will give your lover a treat and hopefully increase a night of sensual lovemaking.  So what are you waiting for?  Let's Make Love!

    Triberr - Promoting your Blog

So what is triberr, and why should you care?  Well if you run a blog, it's the easiest way to get the word out to people who may have never heard of you.  Triberr allows you to hook up three twitter accounts, and three rss feeds, and with the help of other members, you share these posts.  So let's say for our purposes here that I have 11,000 twitter followers and my blog posts are going out to those followers as soon as I post.  Now let's say I wanted to amplify how far my posts were going to other people, that's where triberr comes in.  There are various groups on a multitude of subjects on the triberr site.  For my site, I want to reach romance readers so I hooked up with 7 tribes that talk about romance.  By promoting their blog with a simple click, they in turn promote my blog via their twitter, facebook, and linked in accounts.  It's basically a you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours approach.  My 11,000 amplification has increased to 396,000, which obviously is a far greater reach.

After the initial setting up your twitter, facebook, blog, and linked in feeds (you don't have to have all those to join but you should), sharing posts is as easy as clicking post.  The only drawback I've found is the need to remember to visit the site and click post!  An important reminder here, if you're not sharing, then others won't be sharing your posts either. So basically triberr is just a way of sharing posts and having your post shared at it's most basic level.  It's a free service, but there are premium choices if you don't want to have to remember to visit the sight daily and would rather autoshare.

For me personally, triberr has been a wonderful tool for getting the word out about new books I'm publishing.  As long as you're publishing blog posts regularly, I think triberr will become an asset to you as well.  I'm definitely not an expert on this, and to find out more about the service and discover whether or not it will help you, I'd suggest visiting www.triberr.com

    Spice up Your Valentine

    Using Roleplay for Romance

Roleplay can be a great way to add a little heat to the bedroom.  While fiction can be great, we've toned down this scene from 10 Nights to exclude the piercing and to add in some sexy twists.  Unless you're a professional we don't recommend trying piercings at home!

What you'll need:  2 Large Silk Scarves, (you can substitute these for other things you think up) feather, canned whip cream, chilled wine, candles, fur mitten, and ice cubes.

Before you begin your little fantasy, explain to your partner that you've planned a special surprise for them, and get their permission.  Remember consensual fun is always the first consideration to any sexy play.

Set up the scene:  Light candles in a safe place where they give off just enough light to adjust your eyes.  Your partner will be blindfolded so this part is all about what you can work with.  Have a small space cleared off on your bedside table to place all the goodies we mentioned above for you to work with ready to go.  The more inviting the atmosphere is, the easier it will be for your partner to enjoy.  So feel free to add some extra touches to the bedroom, ie rose petals on the sheets if you'd like.

Remember this is all about the senses, so ask your partner to allow you to blindfold them, and use one of the large silk scarves to securely, but comfortably take away their sight.  Patience is key here, you know your partner better than anyone, so making them feel at ease is your first priority.  Slowly undress them before ever making your way to the bed.  This is about fulfilling your partners desires, so take your time after each item of clothing is removed and worship their body a little.  Tell them how sexy they are to you, describe the parts of their body that excite you.  Nothing builds confidence more than a lover who appreciates them.

When your partner is finally undressed, have them lay on the bed and bind their wrists in the second large scarf (be sure the circulation is still flowing, nothing worse than having numb hands because this wasn't checked beforehand), and secure the scarf to the headrest.  If your partner isn't comfortable with that much restraint, just tie their hands and make them promise to keep them over their head.  Again, this is all about their pleasure.

Now the real fun can begin.  This is where you can pretend to be anything his or her heart desires.  In 10 Nights, we used the vampire lover scenario because it was a fantasy for Leah. You know your partner best, so whatever fantasy they'd like to play out, or even if you'd rather not assume a character at all and just please them, you have the options here.  The goal for this fantasy is to blow his or her mind and make them center on the sound of your voice and the touch of your hands.

Start slowly and build up to a great crescendo of pleasure.  The one thing we don't want to do is frighten your partner here.  These are suggestions, not must do things, so decide as you go from the sounds and reactions from their body when to stop or move forward.  Using a small feather, start at the cheek and slowly trail down to the neck, chest, abdomen, stay away from the genitals for now and build up some anticipation.

Move on to the next sensation, chilled wine, or if you prefer not to use alcohol, any chilled beverage of your choice.  Dip your fingertips into the beverage and allow small droplets to find their skin.  Using the same steps as you did with the feather, lick the droplets away and continue until your partner is moaning in delight. The object here is to move from slight tickling, to the coolness of the liquid.

The fur mitten is next, if you don't have one of these any soft, plush material will do, fur just happens to feel extra nice.  Gently massage your partners skin for a few minutes, and let them enjoy the feeling of your touch before bringing out whip cream and ice cubes.  Alternate between the cream and the ice cubes, watching your partner for their reactions.   Trail them down their body and lick away.  Needless to say ice caressed over certain parts of the anatomy can be painful if left in place for any length of time, so consider this especially on the most sensitive parts.  The heat of your mouth and the coolness of the cubes is an incredible sensation.

By the time your little foreplay is over your partner should be writhing in pleasure and where you go from there is only limited by your imagination.  This scenario can last as long as you and your partner want, and hopefully they will be so pleased by your administrations that they give back in return all the desire you've given to them by trying something different.

Happy Valentine's Day from Tears of Crimson!

Looking For a Great Romance Song

We're looking for the music for the video book trailer of Angela's Salvation.  We decided this time we'd do things a little differently and hopefully promote a new band or vocalist and open up their chances to shine.  A few rules about submitting work to Tears of Crimson for this promotion:

    1.  The music and vocals must be original and you must hold the copyright.  By sending material in, you agree that you have the necessary rights to allow us to use the song for video production.

    2.  Consider the theme of the book (detailed below) since this is a romance novel, it makes sense that heavy metal and rap for this book would not be a good fit.  It's not that we don't enjoy that type of music, it just won't fit our project this time.

    3.  Deadline for accepting submissions will be March 1,2013.  If we don't have a submission that we approve of by that date, we will go with a backup track from our other sources.

This is the opportunity to have your music promoted on our site, as well as on Amazon and Goodreads where we post book trailers.  Please address your submission in the following way, RE:  Song Submission
we get thousands of emails a day and don't want yours getting lost because we didn't see the subject line.

If a suitable song choice is submitted, then we will post the bio information for the band or artist responsible for the creation on the video itself, as well as on the book site we submit too.

    Angela's Salvation Blurb:

Angela's audition for the nationally televised showcase, Overnight Sensation, is her chance to finally rise above her abusive childhood and gain the elusive dream of musical stardom.  With all she's suffered, the opportunity of a lifetime is within her grasp.

Nolan Fitzgerald is the owner of the most recognized recording company in the United States and the producer for Overnight Sensation.  He's immediately drawn to Angela's talent, and knows with his help she'll be an overnight sensation. But he has a secret of his own that may just push Angela past her fragile limits of trust.

    Thanks For Your Support!

2012 was such an incredible year for Tears of Crimson, and I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all the friends of Crimson who helped make this possible!  Being able to work on my love of writing while remaining at home has been an incredible experience and I know that it would have never been possible if it wasn't for great friends like you!  Over the last few months, many of you might have noticed that I haven't been available on the social media outlets as much, ie. Twitter and Facebook, and I hope you don't think I've forgotten the reason why I'm able to do what I love.

Prior to 2012, writing was a hobby and not a profession, and I'd worked my fingers to the bone to make it a career.  As those who know me understand, the Tears of Crimson series was my baby, and to be honest I never thought I'd write anything but my precious vampires.  All that changed when I discovered that I could step outside my comfort zone and write other types of romance, and when I made the choice to try, the muse was very excited.  Since the debut of A Night at Tears of Crimson, I've written five other books and have discovered that I love writing all romance, not just paranormal.

In some ways I was saddened to discover that the mainstream romance books were able to reach a much larger audience than my paranormal series, but I've come to understand that there's just more people who read under the contemporary romance genre.  With the 10 Nights books (Forbidden Desire's Series) I was lucky enough to have the right idea at the right time, and catch the wave of new erotic romance fascination.  I will be forever grateful that I had the inspiration, and the help of a wonderful co-author to get that series out when I did.

What some of you may not know is that I never intended to label myself as an Erotic writer.  So while I do have the third book of the Forbidden Desire series, and a new alien sci-fi erotic book to debut in 2013, I'm really excited about the release of Angela's Salvation which walks away from the Erotic somewhat, and is just a great drama filled romance that will be suitable for all levels of romance readers.  If you've read my bio, you might recall that I was a country singer/songwriter for twelve years.  I was afforded the opportunity to learn much about the recording industry during those years, and much of Angela's Salvation, at least as far as the music industry is concerned, comes from that knowledge.

The story line behind this book is heart wrenching, and focuses on the life of Angela Wilkerson.  Some abuse survivors might have a hard time reading this one due to the past abuse the main character evolves from.  Again, I've drawn on experiences from my own life, and while I've changed some elements in this book to protect those I love, it's still such a part of me that even writing it has left me in tears on more than one occasion during the process.

The story follows Angela after she auditions for a new televised talent show that has the potential to launch her into musical stardom.  As a past performer myself, shows like this were ones I was involved in personally, and some of the scenes  are from personal experiences as well.  Trust me when I say the music industry is not all paved with golden roads.

While Angela's Salvation is a work of fiction, many of the scenarios included within are based on real life experiences.  This is definitely a romance novel, but the drama, in my opinion overrides the romantic aspects.  I can't wait to share this book with you, and hope that you feel the depth of emotion involved with all the characters they way I have.

The bottom line of this entire post is to let you know how much I appreciate your support over the years.  When I wasn't selling a book a month, there were some incredible people that encouraged me to never give up, and picked me up more times than I can count on two hands.  We all have things in our life that shape the people we become, and even as we are suffering through those heartaches, a positive can always come later from them.  My writing has given me a way to finally put the past where it belongs, and accept that bad things sometimes happen to good people.

If any of you out there is still suffering because of events that happened in your life, I hope you know that you're not alone and that there is a silver lining out there waiting to appear.  None of us can change what we've suffered through in this life, but we can move forward and understand that there are other people that have suffered just as greatly and managed to make it through until they were whole again.  Angela's Salvation  is my defining moment,  even if it never sells a single copy writing this book has helped me heal.  My only wish is that if you are still suffering, that you find your way of letting the past remain where it belongs, whether it be writing, drawing, or simply finding someone you can relate to that understands what you're going through.

    All My Love,

Kindle Fire HD - LOVE Review

Kindle Fire - The World's Most Advanced 7" Tablet

I'm sold!  At $199.00 I wasn't sure that this tablet was going to do all that was promised on the Amazon site, but I'm glad to say I was proven wrong!  This is one amazing toy, and I have nothing but good things to say about it.  For the record I will say up front that I read books, surf the web, and watch movies for the most part on this device.  For my purposes, it's actually more than I ever bargained for.  Occasionally I'll check my Facebook  and the kids like the games and it works just as well for that purpose as well.

The first thing that really amazed me was the picture quality.  As a former Ipad user I was very worried about picture quality, something I needn't have been concerned with.  The pictures are so clear and crisp I might even venture to say it's better than my former iPad.  The sound system is the second thing that blew me away.  When my family tells me to turn the thing down because they can't hear their shows, you know you've got a great sound system on board.

I hesitated for a few months on buying this or an iPad mini, and I have no doubt that I made the right purchase with the Kindle Fire HD.  My former iPad was still usable but the screen was cracked horribly after a spill onto my tile floor.  To replace the screen I was quoted a $139.00 price tag by a dealer in town, and that got me thinking instead of replacing the screen why not replace the device.  So I did and now consider myself a happy Kindle Fire User.

Thanks Amazon for a great product!  I absolutely LOVE this!
